It’s a common misconception that without a claim for lost income/wages, that the claim isn’t worth pursuing. Pam’s* case is an excellent example of significant compensation being awarded despite there being no loss of income/wages.

Pam was a retiree involved in a motor vehicle accident where she sustained serious injuries. She suffered multiple and complex injuries including various fractures, breaks and a head injury.

Pam could no longer access her home (up stairs) as a result of the injuries sustained. She relied on the support and care of her ex partner while she lived in his living room for 2 years. This was not ideal and the team at Trilby Misso engaged experts to provide evidence that her home was not suitable. Quotes were also obtained around the cost of building a suitable home modified for her limitations.
